Hainan to hold global consumption forum in April

In April, Hainan plans to organize a global consumer forum on the opportunities and prospects for strengthening the regional free trade port's retail sales sphere. This was announced by the Provincial Bureau of International Economic Development.

The event will be held on the sidelines of the 3rd China International Consumer Products Expo, which will take place on April 10-15 in the administrative center of Hainan in Haikou city, according to its information. It is noted that representatives of Chinese state agencies and government structures of other countries, large trading companies and consulting firms will be invited to participate in the forum.

A report on trends in the global consumer sector will be published during the event. Forum participants will hold discussions on stimulus measures that will increase China's economic openness in a changing international environment.

Hainan Provincial Bureau of International Economic Development stated that the main objective is to help create an even more stable consumer cycle, taking advantage of favorable opportunities to ensure the intensive growth of the Chinese market. The forum will consist of five thematic sections on new trends, models and mechanisms of international cooperation, the advantages of the free trade port and the creation of popular brands.

The 3rd China International Consumer Products Expo will occupy about 100 thousand square meters, of which 80% is allocated for imported products. Italy will be the guest of honourthis year, while Germany, the Republic of Korea, the USA, France and Japan will present their products and services, as well as other countries, including participants of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership. Many foreign brands, as the organizers promise, will be presented for the first time.
